Windows Vista Laptop For $500

Walmart is offering Everex laptops with Vista pre-installed for as low as $498. The 15.4" StepNote VA4101M lists at just $518. I would have to be skeptical of any $500 Vista-equipped laptop (I mean, the performance just has to suck!) but this might be an option if you are traveling and just want a basic Internet/e-mail/word processing machine for on the road. At $500 you won't have too worry too much about a few bumps or dings along the way.
